Venetian Mask

This initially was meant to be a DIY post but then I decided to just wanted to run with it and see what I could come up with.

I’ve spent the last week creating it. Hours of my life I will never get back!! It felt like it was glue stick after pearl after feather; it was a never-ending glitter circle. After many burns from the evil glue gun, you would have thought I would have learned by now but never the less.

Things I do for my mommy dearest, she was invited to a masquerade ladies lunch on Saturday so of course I was enlisted to create her mask. I got strict instructions on the colour palette of course two of her favourite colours that I have also inherited, gold and black. One another thing was that it had to be on a wooden dowel instead of the ribbon tie. Sadly I don’t have a picture of our mamma wearing her mask as she forgot to take one.

I’m planning on doing an in depth tutorial on how to create a Venetian mask or two. They can be quite fiddly and time consuming but fun non-the less. They can also be quite pricey if you want to purchase a more authentic
one.

I would love to know what you guys think of the mask.

Love. L x

Review: Lift, shape and pop the cheek with Benefit Fine One One

This wee beauty is super handy and girly with the metallic packaging. It is also fuss free because all you need to do is slide off the lid, twist up the blush, sweep it up the check and blend out gently. The creamy texture of the blush makes it easy to blend giving you a healthy illuminated flush to your cheeks; it’s not as sheer as I thought which I quite liked.
It’s a great multipurpose product I use it on my cheeks, eyes and lips. The colours make for a perfect s/s trio with the pink champagne, sheer watermelon and soft coral.. All you need to lift, shape and pop the cheek is  Fine One One.

I think this product is a lovely idea, as I tend to wear cr√®me blush daily day to brighten up my make up less face. I’ve also worn it quite a few time when I’ve made up my face and I have found it works best if you blot your cheeks with tissue before applying for maximum blending and staying power.

It is defiantly a winner in my books, thats for sure!

Fine One One is £23.50 from Benefit

Review: The Pearl Lowe for Glossy Box

I've been dying to get my little paws on this beauty since February.. This has to one of the prettiest and one of my all time favourites glossy boxes.
Pearl Lowe took the inspiration for the box design from the english countryside using a beautiful rose print and a little rock n' roll in classic Pearl style.

We had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with the lovely Glossy Box team back in February, filled with girly gossip, food and learning the ins and outs of the company.

Too let you in on a little secret... CEO Kate Cornell is mad about popcorn (like myself)!

The great thing about glossybox is that you receive 5 (full or travel sized and tester) products each month. I get all excited when i receive my box every month known that i have a beautifully packaged present waiting to be open. There is also an element of surprise as you never known whats going to be inside.

They make great presents or just a wee treat for yourself, having the beauty profile you receive products to suit your skin, make up and body needs. For only £10 +P&P

Just a wee update

Hi guys,

I must be the worst blogger on earth right now, I can't even remember the last time I posted it was defiantly back in February and it was the shortest post ever!! Life has basically taken over this year and the months has been flying in. I can't believe it's the 10 of April already, it's crazy to think its a 3rd of the year over already.
I have so much to fill you guys in with so my apologises if I do any manic blogging, it's just so I can get myself back into my very organised frame of mind. I currently trying to make Samanthas old room into our new office/beauty room but its currently in a right mess with my tripod, lighting ect. Then my bed room is a mess too with all my beauty products ect. Reason why I haven't been in the frame of mind to blog and also because I haven't been well recently but all will be well when the sunnier days finally arrive.
Samantha hasn't been blogging at all for months either we've been really terrible bloggers this year, but liked said life has taken over!!

I will hopefully most defiantly has YouTube up and running this month, I haven't managed to film due feeling weak and dizzy a lot of the time I also had a nasty eye infection for most of march. I think I'm in need of so major cheering up and some sunny vitamin D.

I am so far behind on my lifestyle blogging its crazy, I have a box of products to review and everything so over the next couple of weeks either Samantha or i will get them reviewed and posted up.

Next thing I'm speaking at Newcastle fashion weekend on the 11th of may so that's exciting but I will update you more on that in another post.

I'm also the latest ambassador for the charity Jeans for Genes day but I will update you on all of that In another post.

We also have a few really fun blogger events coming up, back in march we attended a great one held by Laura from North East bloggers with international make up artist Sara Hill. I will upload some photographs from the event, sadly Samantha and I never got our photo taken with Sara but it was lovely to meet her and learn a few tips and tricks.

Ok I will stop my babbling, stay tuned for my next post a review on a benefit product.

If you would like to get in contact with Samantha or I email us at - contactpeachesandrose@gmail.com.
